Here is a gorgeous example of fashion meeting design and technology: after the series of Samsung handsets designed from the Milan stylist Giorgio Armani, Nokia announced the launch of a brand new phone, which can be set into the “luxury” category: the Nokia 6700 classic Gold Edition.

 “For a more sparkling life” – this is the tagline of the new product, whose name is highly understandable and recognizable at first glance: the cover has 18-carat gold finish! Even the technical features are quite satisfactory: Bluetooth, GPS and Maps pre-installed, 5 megapixel camera, 8GB micro SD card – and not to forget the customised wallpapers and screensavers, in the same precious look of the phone itself.

Is this too expensive to be purchased? Not at all: this little jewel which will be on the market in the first months of 2010 has a very affordable price – estimated around 370€. And to be sure that you are not going to ruin the shiny cover, the package provides you with an elegant leather carrying case, as some of Nokia business phones do (see for instance the E71).
